Information technology implementation in the public elementary school: study of trust on organizations networks

Resumo: The aim of this study is to analyze the trust between partners that provide services of information technology (IT) in an elementary public school of São Caetano do Sul (SP - Brazil). The qualitative-descriptive research was carried by a case study, with the analysis of the importance of relying on partners who provide IT services at this school. For data collection, besides direct observation and documentary research, we used a semistructured questionnaire. It was noted that the existing partnerships result in the formation of a network of organizations in the public sector and that the establishment of trust is complex, because the greater the proximity of the partner, the worse is the confidence index. In addition, it was observed that the availability in collaborating by the partners facilitates the establishment of trust and long-term relationships, which are considered important, targeting the main objective, which is to assist the student learning.

A pesquisa descritiva-qualitativa foi desenvolvida por meio de estudo de caso único, com a análise da importância de se confiar nos parceiros que prestam serviços de TI nesta escola. Para a coleta de dados, além de observação direta e pesquisa documental, foi utilizado questionário semiestruturado. Constatou-se que as parcerias existentes resultam na formação de uma rede de organizações no setor público e que o estabelecimento de confiança é complexo, pois quanto maior a proximidade do parceiro, pior é o índice de confiança.
