Removal of areas construction and demolition waste (CDW) disposal in district São Luís in the city of Canoas/RS/Brazil

Resumo: The problems related to the construction activities of waste is a reality in largest cities, it is common to irregular provisions of waste from construction and demolition (CDW) in various locations. In the city of Canoas/RS, located in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, there was a large urban and real estate development in the last five years. In this sense, this study presents a survey of regular and irregular areas of CDW arrangement in district São Luís in Canoas. Were considered in this analysis regular and irregular disposal areas that predominantly contained CDW Class A, classified according to CONAMA Resolution Nº. 307/2002. Data were obtained by consulting the Municipal Department of the Environment and were analysed from the computational tool Google Earth Pro and visits in the field. It was concluded that exists in the district São Luís total of 5 areas licensed for CDW available and have been identified as well, the total of 14 irregular arrays of spots and all located next to the licensed area. This finding is consistent with similar studies in other brazilian cities.

Na cidade de Canoas/RS/Brasil, situada na região metropolitana de Porto Alegre, houve um grande desenvolvimento urbano e imobiliário nos últimos 5 anos. Nesse sentido, este estudo apresenta o levantamento das áreas regulares e irregulares de disposição de RCD no bairro São Luís de Canoas. Foram consideradas nesta análise as áreas de disposição regulares e irregulares que continham predominantemente RCD da Classe – A, classificados de acordo com a Resolução do CONAMA nº 307/2002. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de consulta a Secretaria Municipal do Meio Ambiente de Canoas e foram analisados a partir da ferramenta computacional Google Earth Pro e de visitas realizadas em campo. Foi possível concluir que no bairro São Luís existem 5 áreas licenciadas para disposição de RCD e foram identificados o total de 14 focos de disposição irregular, todos localizados próximos às áreas licenciadas.
