Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: Verify the effects of the association of auriculotherapy with physiotherapy and physical exercises in the treatment of pain and in the increase of quality of life of women with fibromyalgia.METHODS: This is a study quantitative study, composed of 14 volunteers, divided into 2 groups: group A who underwent physiotherapy or physical exercises and auriculotherapy, and group B with only auriculotherapy intervention once a week for 4 weeks. As instruments of evaluation, the Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (QIFR) and Visual Analog Pain Scale (EVA). For statistical analysis, the GraphPad Prism software was used. To verify the normality of the data the Shapiro-Wilk test was applied, as the data assumed parametric distribution, the paired t-test was applied.RESULTS: In the total QIFR score, n group A, the mean was pre 77 and post 59 (p * 0.0007), and in group B the mean pre 60 and post 44 (* 0.006). In the EVA group A presented a mean of 9.0 and 7.0 (p * 0.01) and in group B the mean of 7.8 and 5.2 (p * 0.01).CONCLUSIONS: Auriculotherapy was effective in the treatment of BF, isolated and / or associated with physiotherapy or physical exercises.CONCLUSIONS: A significant negative correlation was observed between the domains of quality of life and musculoskeletal symptoms, in which the musculoskeletal symptoms were factors which reduce the quality of life of the informal mining workers.Fibromyalgia.
