Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of elderly life with urinary incontinence in Belém, Pará.METHODS: This is hum Study observational, cross-sectional, descriptive design, analytical and Quantitative. The data collection occurred for King’s Health Questionare. It was also performed a private collection of information sheet, containing variables such as age, marital status, urinary incontinence rhythm and was held some treatment paragraph one situation. The results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (chi-square adherence tests, Pearson linear correlation, Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn).RESULTS: The survey was conducted with a sample of 26 women in average age 69.3 years. It was found more frequently in urinary incontinence effort cases (42.3%). The study showed older data statically Significant paragraph with urinary incontinence relating to pregnancy number of data (<0.0001), normal deliveries (<0.0001), episiotomy use (0.0060) and forceps (0.0004). It was identified IU Interference in general perception domains of health and urinary incontinence impact. There was a very strong correlation (0.83) between physical limitations and social limitations, as limitations of daily activities with physical limitations (0.73) and limitations of daily activities with social constraints (0.80).CONCLUSIONS: It is concluded that urinary incontinence had a negative impact on the evaluation of quality of life of these elderly women in biopsychosocial aspects. |

A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio do King’s Health Questionare. Também foi realizada a coleta de informações em ficha própria, contendo variáveis como idade, estado civil, tempo de incontinência urinária e se realizou algum tratamento para a situação. Os resultados foram analisados por estatística descritiva e inferencial (teste qui-quadrado de aderência, correlação linear de Pearson, Kruskal-Wallis e de Dunn).RESULTADOS: A pesquisa foi realizada com uma amostra de 26 mulheres com média de idade de 69,3 anos. Encontrou-se maior frequência em casos de IU de esforço (42,3%). O estudo mostrou dados estaticamente significantes para idosas com incontinência urinária relacionando aos dados de número de gravidez (<0,0001), de partos normais (<0,0001), de uso de episiotomia (0,0060) e de fórceps (0,0004). Identificou-se interferência da IU nos domínios de percepção geral da saúde e no domínio de impacto da IU.
