Resumo: The text chosen was reviewed by dealing of the complex issue of the letter in Lacan.  This review is not intended, however, forge or even try to extract the author a concept for letter, just because when he answer about how it should be taken, Lacan comes to answer saying nothing that simply at the foot of letter (LACAN, 1998, p. 498). Differently, by the reading of the text stay patent the lacanian’s effort to check point all the workings of the unconscious, giving continuity to the discoveries of Freud in psychoanalysis.

O texto resenhado foi escolhido por tratar do complexo tema da letra em Lacan. Com a presente resenha, não se pretende, porém, forjar ou mesmo tentar arrancar do autor um conceito para letra, uma vez que ao se questionar sobre como esta deveria ser tomada, Lacan chega a responder dizendo nada mais que muito simplesmente, ao pé da letra (LACAN, 1998, p. 498).
