Resumo: The article will approach some information concerning the image from thesearch for realism in the Renaissance painting and its concretion in the photograph. For this,it is necessary to list some concepts as imagery vision in the Middle Ages and its transitionfor Renaissance and the establishment of the painting as a liberal art. Besides, we will alsoargue the executed role by the science in the result and role of the obscura camera both in art as in the formation of the photographic image.
