Resumo: | The germinated seed made memories blossom, producing memories and diverse narratives and testimonies about a past that left marks and traces. This article was born as the result of a master's thesis, which was a descriptive homage to my grandmother Tereza Verônica Adamatti Isoppo (in memoriam). The study sought to understand the life story present in this lady's biography and had as its main objective to recover, through the memory of the community, the biosocial and cultural role of Dona Tereza. In addition, the research allowed promoting a rescue of traditional knowledge in relation to medicinal plants, highlighting, through the effort of memory, the mysticism present in this woman's life. The research was developed through a bibliographic survey and interviews, as well as texts handwritten by Tereza herself. The reports of the people interviewed focused on the years 2021 and 2022, in the Maquiné Valley, on the north coast of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. watercolors of medicinal plants illustrated by my brother Cristiano Pelisser. The contributions produced by this ethnobotanical and ethnoecological survey made it possible to verify that Tereza had a vast knowledge regarding the use of medicinal plants, nevertheless, she created remarkable ties in the life of her locality, brought people healing through herbs and for the fraternal welcome, being, therefore, for many people an inspiration when it comes to facing the challenges of society and life. |

Unioeste2023-08-29info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/travessias/article/view/3119010.48075/rt.v17i2.31190Travessias; Vol. 17 No. 2 (2023); e31190Travessias; Vol. 17 Núm. 2 (2023); e31190Travessias; v. 17 n. 2 (2023); e311901982-5935reponame:Travessias (Cascavel.
