Resumo: The purpose of this article is to observe the woman's history starting from thememory of Carolina Maria de Jesus in Quarto de despejo: diário de uma favelada (2005). In this autobiography it is patent not only the author's of the diary figure, but also it can apprehend acollective experience. Experience, for example, of voices silenced, to the margin of the centralspeech, as of women. For so much, we used the theoretical apparatus of BAHIA (2000).
