Resumo: The work Galileia, by Ronaldo Correia de Brito, tells the story of three cousins, Adonias, Davi and Ismael, who travel to the interior of Ceará in order to visit his grandfather, Raimundo Caetano, patriarch of a large family and decadent, which is very ill and lives in what's left of the farm Galiléia. They did their best to cut their relashionship with the region, living in different places in Brazil and abroad, with the idea of never to return. However, they must be reunited with the family and its ghosts and reliving stories of adultery, revenge and death, fears and traumas.        At the end of the journey, the characters will discover secrets and betrayals in a farm that was once prosperous. Even though the cousins have tried to forget the children and move away from the problems that affected the family, back to feel it closely and will realize that this return was part of their destiny. Their memories will be forever present in their memories and hearts.  Ronaldo Correia de Brito is a contemporary author and one of the most original authors in Brazilian literature. He was born in Saboeiro, the backwoods of Inhamuns, in Ceará, on 1st October, 1950. He lives in Recife since 17 years. He is a doctor at the Federal University of Pernambuco. He developed researches and wrote several texts on literature and oral tradition of popular toys, besides he has been resident writer and visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2007. He wrote books like: The nights and days (1997) and Knif (2003).

A obra Galileia, de Ronaldo Correia de Brito, relata a história de três primos, Adonias, Davi e Ismael, que viajam para o sertão do Ceará para visitar o avó, Raimundo Caetano, patriarca de uma família numerosa e decadente, o qual está muito doente e mora no que ainda restou da fazenda Galiléia. Eles fizeram o possível para cortar seus laços com a região, indo morar em diferentes lugares do Brasil e do exterior, para nunca mais voltar. Porém, terão de se reencontrar com a família e seus fantasmas e reviver histórias de adultério, vingança e morte, medos e traumas.No final da viagem, os personagens vão descobrir segredos e traições numa fazenda que um dia foi próspera. Mesmo que os primos tenham tentado esquecer a infância e se afastar dos problemas que atingiam a família, voltarão a senti-la de perto e irão perceber que esse retorno fazia parte de seus destinos. As suas lembranças estarão eternamente presentes em suas memórias e corações.  Ronaldo Correia de Brito é um autor contemporâneo e um dos autores mais originais da literatura brasileira. Nasceu em Saboeiro, sertão dos Inhamuns, no Ceará, em 1º de outubro de 1950. Mora em Recife desde os 17 anos. É médico formado pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Desenvolveu pesquisas e escreveu diversos textos sobre literatura oral e brinquedos de tradição popular, além de ter sido escritor residente e professor visitante da Universidade da Califórnia, em Berkeley, no ano de 2007.
