The health impacts of basic education teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic: a literature review

Resumo: The objective of this research was to identify the works related to the impacts on the health of basic education teachers during the pandemic. A bibliographic research was carried out, through an integrative review in the base of the Scientific Electronic Library Online, in the Virtual Health Library and PubMed. The following keywords were used: Impacts, health, teachers, Basic education, Pandemic and COVID-19. The inclusion criteria were: works open to the public and that were in line with the objectives of this research. Eight articles were selected in the search using the keywords cited above. The exclusion criterion of the texts found was: articles that were not in accordance with the objective of this work. After the analysis of the texts, the main results of the collected articles were highlighted. The studies discussed the damage of the Covid-19 pandemic to the mental and physical health of teachers. Some factors were identified, such as overwork and domestic activity, which resulted in the exhaustion of these professionals, causing psychological and physical problems. Thus, the importance of physical and mental health care for educators in this pandemic period is highlighted, developing projects that mitigate the impacts of the pandemic on teachers.

Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica, por meio de uma revisão integrativa na base do Scientific Eletronic Library Online, na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e PubMed. Foram utilizadas as seguintes palavras-chave: Impactos, saúde, professores, Educação básica, Pandemia e COVID-19. Os critérios de inclusão foram: trabalhos abertos ao público e que estavam em sintonia com os objetivos desta pesquisa. Foram selecionados oito artigos na busca por meio das palavras-chave citadas acima. O critério de exclusão dos textos encontrados foi: artigos que não estavam de acordo com o objetivo deste trabalho. Após a análise dos textos, foram destacados os principais resultados dos artigos coletados. Os estudos discorreram sobre os danos da Pandemia da Covid-19 na saúde mental e física dos professores. Foram identificados alguns fatores, como: excesso de trabalho e atividade doméstica, nos quais resultaram no esgotamento desses profissionais, provocando problemas psicológicos e físicos.
