Resumo: This paper aims at analyzing the expositive order in two academic genres of contemporary European Portuguese – the didactic article and the scientific article. Besides the evidence that theoretical discourse is predominant, in both cases, we will be looking for the conditions of appearance of interactive discourse, assuming, as a working hypothesis, that it is regulated by the textual genre - more specifically, by the text plan. The analysis provides evidence for differentiating the two genres: in both cases, interactive discourse appears associated to the researcher (who is formulating hypotheses, arguing for points of view and organizing the space of the text); however, these segments tend to occur, in the scientific texts analysed, in relevant moments of the plan, as in the opening and the conclusion of macrostructural units. Key words: text genres, theoretical discourse, interactive discourse, text plan.Situado no quadro do interaccionismo sociodiscursivo, este artigo pretende analisar a ordem do expor em dois géneros académicos do português europeu contemporâneo: Face à predominância do discurso teórico (DT), nos dois casos, procurar-se-á verificar as condições de emergência do discurso interactivo (DI) – admitindo-se, a título de hipótese, que essa emergência não seja aleatória mas regulada pelo género, mais especificamente, pelo plano de texto. A análise evidencia um dos aspectos que permite diferenciar o artigo didáctico e o artigo científico: se em ambos o DI aparece associado ao produtor/investigador (que formula hipóteses, discute pontos de vista e gere o espaço do texto), esses segmentos tendem a ocorrer, nos textos científicos, em momentos- chave do plano, como a abertura e a conclusão de unidades macroestruturais.
