Resumo: The use of nonwoven for technical implementation has increased considerably in recent years in most areas, not as a simple replacement for other materials, but as a product with specific properties which can be used for various purposes. It’s specific structure, resulting from the interaction between the raw materials and the manufacturing process, has been successful in several applications, providing, in according to the field, resistance, comfort, acoustic absorption and structure lightness. Therefore, from a brief review of the literature, the objective of this paper is to present the main techniques of web bonding and web forming for the production of nonwoven and present its potential for application in acoustic absorption when applied in civil area.
