Resumo: | This work focuses on the innovative pedagogical experience offered by the maker movement in the Chilean school system. The “Red de Clubes” project, coordinated by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and funded by UNESCO, seeks to empower students from vulnerable contexts with skills for the 21st century. During the project, students learn and apply physical programming concepts around significant artefacts, in a collaborative environment that requires them to address different challenges in creative ways. At the beginning and end of the project, self-esteem (Coopersmith self-esteem inventory) and creativity (CREA) tests were applied to students. In this article we describe this project and the results in self-esteem, in particular the positive effect in the school variable, and the creativity's results in students. |
