Data Analysis, the Acchilles Tendon of Interventive Research in Professional Masters in Education: Why?

Resumo: This text is focused on problematizing the analysis of data from scientific research in education, which we consider the Achilles' heel of any investigation, whether in the natural sciences or in the human sciences. The epistemological and methodological rigor in data analysis leads to positive results, reflecting the problem, the interpretation and the production of knowledge. This applies to research of an interventional nature of professional masters in education, which in the dialectical relationship between investigation and action intends to transform individuals and institutions. In understanding this issue, we work with the notion of understanding from the Human Sciences, regarding its object of study – man in his multiple determinations, since doing research in this area intends to understand human life; this makes all the difference in the process of data analysis in a research, since we investigate concreteness, discourses, representations, meanings of life. We deepen this issue, explaining, from authors such as Minayo and Franco, how a comprehensive data analysis is carried out, based on content analysis, at the same time, bringing this path to the territory of interventional research, in a more appropriate way. Keywords: interventional research; data analysis; content analysis.Este texto está focado na problematização da análise de dados da pesquisa científica em educação, que consideramos o tendão de Aquiles de qualquer investigação, seja nas ciências da natureza, como nas ciências humanas. O rigor epistemológico e metodológico na análise de dados conduz a resultados positivos, refletindo a problemática, a interpretação e a produção de conhecimento. Isso se aplica à pesquisa de natureza interventiva dos mestrados profissionais em educação que, na relação dialética investigação e ação, intenciona a transformação dos indivíduos e instituições. No entendimento dessa questão, trabalhamos com a noção de compreensão a partir das Ciências Humanas, no que tange a seu objeto de estudo – o homem em suas múltiplas determinações, pois fazer pesquisa nessa área intenciona a compreensão da vida humana; isso faz toda a diferença no processo de análise de dados em uma pesquisa, posto que investigamos concreticidades, discursos, representações, sentidos da vida. Aprofundamos essa questão, explicitando, a partir de autores como Minayo e Franco, como se faz uma análise de dados compreensiva a partir da análise de conteúdo, ao mesmo tempo, trazendo para o território da pesquisa interventiva esse caminhar, de maneira mais apropriada.
