Adágios, provérbios, rifãos e anexins, de Francisco Rolland : edição e estudo

O presente trabalho recupera, para a memória do tesouro da língua, o testemunho linguístico e cultural da colectânea de adágios portugueses do impressor-livreiro Francisco Rolland, editada em 1780. A obra ocupa um espaço privilegiado no âmbito do património paremiológico nacional, até ao princípio do século XIX. O corpus recenseado assenta num princípio de sistematização lexical, estando os adágios subordinados a palavras-lema, que se organizam alfabeticamente. Apresenta-se uma lição fundamentada na edição princeps, integrando-se as informações relativas às alterações introduzidas na 2ª edição (1841), e acrescenta-se um estudo linguístico em que se valoriza a componente lexical. ABSTRACT: This study seeks to recover the linguistic and cultural testimony provided the collection of Portuguese adagia by printer-bookseller Francisco Rolland (1780), hence re-inscribing it within the memory of the Portuguese language thesaurus. Rolland’s work occupies an outstanding position within the paremiological national patrimony up to the beginning of the 19th century. The corpus under study was defined according to a principle of lexical systematization, with the adagia clustered around alphabetically organized keywords. Along with a reading that follows the princeps edition, information pertaining to the alterations introduced by the second edition (1841) is provided, together with a linguistic study in which special emphasis is given to the lexical component.
