This work aims to understand how music, especially Rap can be used as an element of educational discussions and help in learning. In order to do so, we must deal with interdisciplinarity as a means by which music can be used within the classroom. The specific objectives were: to discuss the role of music as an educational element for the formation of critical and reflective people, to analyze Rap Rap's "Study Wrong" rapist Gabriel the thinker, Identify the elements of Rap and their importance in the formation of identities. The qualitative research consists of the analysis of Rap "Study Wrong" released in the year 1995 by rapper Gabriel the thinker. For the analysis of Rap used the studies of Merriam (1964) and Gil (2002). The theoretical reference also counts on the studies of Brandão (2007), Silva (1999), Saviani (1999), Foucault (1996), among others. From the analysis it was possible to perceive how through Rap it is possible to dialogue education, I understand its critical and reflexive social function we can affirm that rap also builds education.
