Bibliotherapy can go beyond just passing on information or literary knowledge, it can also together with the act of reading and mediate reading, bring improvements to health, well-being and pleasurable sensations, this happens mainly in the actions focused on bibliotherapy. Bibliotherapy can be considered a therapeutic activity, and can bring countless benefits to society. It has a key social role for individuals with some disorder, in the sense of being an excellent way to awaken the taste for reading even before literacy; they are activities that facilitate socialization, moments of relaxation and leisure, eases the suffering for the family's absence, in case of hospitalization, and helps to disconnect the problems, anxieties, fear and uncertainty, in addition to contributing to the individual's well-being. Thus, there are numerous contributions of bibliotherapy for citizens with varied characteristics in our society and, in particular, for hospitalized patients. This study aims first to present a bibliographic survey of scientific productions on the subject of Bibliotherapy in Information Science, considering BRAPCI the main platform for this collection, considering the time frame from 2011 to 2021 to analyze the productions. And in a second moment, it aims to present some of the projects already applied on Bibliotherapy in Brazilian institutions. It is considered a bibliographic research, of quali-quantitative analysis, and its objectives are descriptive and exploratory and applied nature. Having as results few studies on bibliotherapy in BRAPCI platform, but many projects developed and under development in Brazilian institutions, especially in hospitals.
