Case analysis of LGBTI+ representation: : the DC Pride and Tim Drake

This text analyzes the LGBTI+ representation contained in one of the sequels to the 2022 DC Pride: Tim Drake special. We look at the Sum of our Parts arc, which proved to be important in this type of discussion because it presents a Robin character, Tim Drake, as bisexual. There is an increasing trend in the number of LGBTI+ representations in hero comics; here we want a qualitative analysis of the material. We will use a broad theoretical framework on LGBTI+ representation, queer aesthetics, comics, etc. In terms of conclusion, we arrive at the ambivalent element, because there is a positive side to more representations and special editions, however this material seems to us to be not very innovative, in more than one aspect.
