Summary: Considering the indication of the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC), in order to work with the digital culture, this article aims to analyze the video “Through the eyes of a child” by the rapper Emicida, in order to investigate the different modes of meaning that make up the multimodal text. For this, we use qualitative research, with a descriptive and analytical approach. The epistemological construct deals with the theory of the music video genre and multimodality. The analysis indicated the proficuity of work with multimodality, since it allows the teacher to address aspects related to gender. In addition, the video clip is part of the social practice of the student, therefore, justifies the study of this genre.

Para ello, se recurre a la investigación cualitativa, con enfoque descriptivo y analítico. El constructo epistemológico versa sobre la teoría del género videoclip y de la multimodalidad. El análisis indicó la proficuidad del trabajo con la multimodalidad, ya que permite al profesor abordar aspectos relacionados al género. Además, el videoclip forma parte de la práctica social del educando, luego, se justifica el estudio de ese género.Considerando-se a indicação da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), para se trabalhar com a cultura digital, objetiva-se, neste artigo, proceder à análise do videoclipe “Aos olhos de uma criança”, do rapper Emicida, a fim de se investigar os diferentes modos de significação que compõem o texto multimodal. Para tanto, recorre-se à pesquisa qualitativa, com abordagem descritiva e analítica. O construto epistemológico versa sobre a teoria do gênero videoclipe e da multimodalidade. A análise indicou a proficuidade do trabalho com a multimodalidade, visto permitir ao professor abordar aspectos relacionados ao gênero.
