Resumo: This research project is in development and it aims to discuss the problems concerning the children’s culture and theirs deconstruction due to the educational model, whose emphasis is in the preparation for the future. The playful is a common component of culture and can represent a way out for the children’s education, especially in the early years of education, this is because the playful unites its characteristics and needs. Thus, the objective of this research is to know the representations of childhood, since its emergence until the present, the importance of playfulness in the process of formation and development of children, and what is the role of the school education in the process of human development, considering that most children within the age range studied are treated as adult. This is a documentary research of qualitative nature, containing bibliographic research on games about, childhood, child, playful, human development, leisure, education and studies on the Law of Education Guidelines and Bases (1996). In addition, it was made a field research, based on participant observation. This activities are done in a school in the city of Bauru. The data were collected and analyzed , and it was found that children of three to six years not possess knowledge base of play and traditional games. The introduction of recreational activities at school had a satisfactory effect with the entry of other classes in the course of project development.

The introduction of recreational activities at school had a satisfactory effect with the entry of other classes in the course of project development.Este projeto de pesquisa e extensão se encontra em desenvolvimento e a problemática diz respeito à cultura infantil que se descaracteriza à medida que o modelo educacional predominante se aproxima do mercado, que enfatiza a educação visando o preparo para o êxito futuro, no sentido da valorização financeira e material. O lúdico como componente da cultura pode representar uma saída para a Educação de crianças, sobretudo na Educação Infantil, por se atrelar às suas características e necessidades. O objetivo é conhecer as representações da infância desde o surgimento até a atualidade, a importância do lúdico no processo de formação e desenvolvimento da criança, e também o papel da escola na contribuição desse processo de desenvolvimento humano, tendo em vista o processo de adultização pelo qual passam a maioria das crianças da faixa etária estudada. É uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, com pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, sobre jogo, infância, criança, lúdico, desenvolvimento humano, lazer e educação, com estudos sobre a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (1996) com realização de observação participante. Em campo são desenvolvidas as atividades extensionistas em uma escola de Educação Infantil de Bauru. Os dados coletados foram analisados e até o momento se verificou que as crianças de três à seis anos, não possuem acervo de conhecimentos sobre jogos e brincadeiras tradicionais.
