Resumo: The need of improving the quality of processes and waste reduction in the civil construction makes the market searches for news alternatives and concepts. In this context the use of BIM and it’s tools provides to builders and system designer great improvements, such as, data accuracy, agility in the modeling and global visualization of the project. The subject of hydraulic system can be benefited by these advances through the 3D modeling and the construction modelings preview. Therefore, this case study has as its objective the approach of BIM concept inside a construction company and it’s use for the discipline of hydrosanitary systems from the modeling to its execution. It will be presented how the system modeling process works, problems encountered through the modeling, the challenges for the implementation and it’s benefits.

Nesse contexto a utilização do BIM e de suas ferramentas proporcionam às construtoras e projetistas grandes avanços, entre os quais, precisão nos dados, agilidade na modelagem e visualização global do projeto. A isciplina de sistemas hidráulicos pode se beneficiar de tais avanços através da modelagem 3D e pré-visualização dos modelos construtivos. Sendo assim este estudo de caso tem por objetivo a abordagem do conceito BIM dentro de uma construtora e seu uso para a disciplina de sistemas hidrossanitários desde a modelagem até a sua execução.
