This research has as main objective to understand how the technology based on the Philosophy Airbus and applied to the model A320 contributes to the guarantee of the operational safety in commercial aviation. Studying final reports of aeronautical accidents, it is possible to notice the human figure is a fundamental part for good practices of the operational safety policies, however the technology can strengthen the ties between man and machine. The philosophy studied here represents a great technological advance in the World's aeronautical industry, and determined new concepts and rules that later were being accepted and followed by most of the aeronautical community. It is characterized as a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The procedures were bibliographical and documentary, through manuals of the own manufacturer Airbus, electronic sites of official aeronautical accident investigation bodies like NTSB, BEA, CENIPA and ROSAERONAVIGATSII. Articles by authors like Torben Rick, Charles Robertson and Ián Bevilaqua Izquierdo have also been mentioned and helped to consolidate the theoretical foundation. The data exposed has been done by theoretical, graphic and image basis. Comparisons have eventually made in order to better represent the proposed idea. In the end of research, it can be concluded that the high investment in technology, research and development and openness to new operational concepts can contribute to the success of the technological improvement program of world aviation, favoring mainly safety.
