Resumo: The development of Brazilian civil construction has been driven by an increasingly demanding market, which now demands from professionals working in the area, a technical and scientific knowledge of excellence. In this sense, strategic planning involving the choice of methods and the structures to be used becomes essential to the efficiency, safety and economy of this option. The present paper aims to analyze the different kinds of slabs, from the structural perspective, comparing the lattice precast, the ribbed and, finally, the massive ones. Thus, from a technical- financial perspective of the different models and the adequacy of the project to the needs presented, it is intended to seek the ideal structural choice, identifying its characteristics and the determining factors that justify its use.
