Resumo: More and more companies from various branches are concerned about the health and safety of their employees. This is not only because it is required by legislation, but because it realizes the importance. The PPRA (Environmental Risk Prevention Program) foresees risks that exist in the workplace and indicates corrective and preventive measures. In addition, this enables the company to save, since it corrects distortions that generate costs. In the banking industry it is no different, the economy is always desired. The present work aims to accompany an Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA) of a financial institution in a municipality in the Vale do Braço do Norte, South of Santa Catarina, and to verify if it is followed and is within what standard requires. It was possible to verify that the program of the financial institution follows in part what the standard requires, however some improvements are necessary, mainly with regard to compliance with it, since the company does not apply it correctly.

Isto não só porque é exigido pela legislação, mas porque percebe a importância. O PPRA (Programa de Prevenção de Riscos Ambientais) prevê riscos existentes nos ambientes de trabalho e indica medidas corretivas e preventivas. Além disso, isso possibilita a empresa a economizar, já que corrige distorções que geram custos. No ramo bancário não é diferente, a economia é sempre almejada. O presente trabalho se objetiva a acompanhar um Programa de Prevenção de Riscos Ambientais (PPRA) de uma instituição financeira de um município do Vale do Braço do Norte, Sul de Santa Catarina, e verificar se o mesmo é seguido e se encontra dentro do que a norma exige.
