In this work, we address the challenges encountered in the process of maintenance of rotating wings in Brazil, analyzing the contributing factors that occur in aircraft maintenance errors. It is characterized as an exploratory research with bibliographical and documentary procedure through books, articles, regulations and laws. The approach used was qualitative and quantitative. It is intended to understand human errors in aircraft maintenance, its difficulties, the entire maintenance process from a technical point of view. This research had as general objective to make a general review of the most common types of human errors committed in aircraft maintenance, in the same way the identification and analysis of the risk factors that most preserve human performance in these environments. An approach is also taken to the training and training of the maintainers, analyzing the programs, principles and personal valuation of the professional. At the end of the work, a study on the quality of aircraft mechanic training is applied, through a comparison with the system of other more developed countries, in order to identify a latent failure of the organization system that is contributing to the error of maintenance. When analyzing the results obtained with the study, it is concluded that it is necessary to anticipate the latent faults detected, using this study as a tool for the proactive management of the regulatory bodies and consequently to reduce the impact of aeronautical accidents in the maintenance process.
