Culture and tradition are aspects that contribute to define the characteristics of a population, tell its history and explain its behaviour. Therefore, it is important that both are encouraged and appraised in a city. With that in mind, the defined topic for this conclusion work is a cultural center in the city of Rio Fortuna, Santa Catarina. The town is linked to the German colonization, with strong traits of this culture until this day. Nevertheless, the lack lof a proper space for activities, such as dance, music and theatre, harm this tradition. For this reason, it was decided that the project should be an answer for needs already mentioned. The lot chosen to implement the project is localized downtown, giving easy access to all the population. Besides being an institutional cultural facility, it will also provide leisure activities, which is another deficiency of the city. The project will bring a lot of benefits to the town, such as the cultural turism promotion and, as its consequence, the development of the city.
