Nowadays is completely unrealistic to deny the seriousness of the consequences related to climate change since human migrations associated to this phenomenon tend to grow more and more. Millions of people are forced to leave their national scope, due to the fact that their home has become uninhabitable as a result of climate change. Seeking shelter and the possibility to live a dignified life, this individuals search in other countries the opportunity to start over. The objective of the present paper is to understand how fragile states and climate change jointly causes environmental refugees. Through the study of the concepts associated to this particularly group, it was sought to understand the analysis of the current international context that this type of refugees are included. This work also investigated the way climate change affects the already delicate political and institutional frameworks of the fragile states, contributing to the deterioration of the health of these populations, in addition to the threatening of food, water, energy and national security, as well as the economies of these countries. The importance of the studying environmental refugees is related to the need to discuss more about a subject that is marginalized by the International law, due to the lack of a specific jurisdiction to such a unique group. The paper contextualizes the issue in Sudan, since it is a country characterized as a Fragile State and currently already suffers from the increase of extreme climatic events and consequently over the years it will become even more a focus when it comes to environmental refugees.
