Resumo: The present monography it‘s a case study, it‘s aims at investigate Preventive Accident Factor (FAP) method benefits for construction sector of Florianópolis and nearby cities in Santa Catarina state. This monography was made by a quantitative and qualitative form, applied between March and April of 2018, answered by twelve companies of the region, using the Google‘s tool ―Google Forms. As to theoretical basement, was utilized some authors that have studied about safety at work in construction sites, regulatory norms, and current laws of Brazil, that seems about the method in study. This search demonstrated that the majority of the companies stared that they knew about FAP‘s method, few companies understood and doesn‘t take the benefits, they still don‘t use it to reach the best results related to decrease of rates and work accidents numbers.

Foi desenvolvido através de um questionário de caráter qualitativo e quantitativo, aplicado nos meses de março e abril de 2018, respondido por doze empresas da região, utilizando a ferramenta Formulários Google. Quanto à base teórica, foram utilizados autores que tratam da segurança do trabalho voltada para a construção civil, normas regulamentadoras e a legislação vigente no país, no que diz respeito à metodologia em questão.
