The present work aims to identify and understand the concept about airport infrastructure and how it is important and affects the capacity of operations. This research is characterized as bibliographic, where articles and reports from the electronic database were used. Synthesizing the limiting factors for the operation of airlines in Brazil will be one of the objectives, in addition to understanding the airport infrastructure and identify it is importance for the airline sector and its advances in order to expand national operations, since, the airport infrastructure is directly linked to the capacity of operating companies, security and the economy of the place which it is inserted, it is worth that several high-level airport infrastructures in a country can greatly leverage it is economy. The inefficient use of infrastructure creates obstacles for travelers and additional costs for airlines and, consequently, does not attract interests, as this way without efficiency it does not encourage the attention of potential investors. The work will present the airport infrastructure as the backbone for the smooth running of operations. Therefore, to make public and private managers, as well as citizens of cities that have an airport, but with a precarious infrastructure, reflect on the importance and complexity of the system and what actions can be taken in order to develop and adopt policies and short and long-term guidelines that improve the infrastructure situation and stimulate investments, a city with an effective airport infrastructure, will attract potential companies, make life easier for citizens and stimulate the local economy. The attraction by other airlines is the main point if the infrastructure works good, in addition to changing the image of precarious infrastructure that it had before, since it is a sector still so much to be explored, having airport concessions as an alternative.
