ABSTRACT This conclusion work addresses the extent of the damage in civil and criminal spheres that the practice of revange pornography can cause to its victim, and the effective punitive measures applied by Brazilian law. Using the qualitative method, a deductive analysis was made as to a real punitive application on cases of revenge pornography, using bibliographic research in order to identify problematic factors in current legislation, as well as in scientific articles, doctrinal understandings. and jurisprudence on the practice of reveng porn. The theme originates from the differences that have been established in the culture regarding the genders due to the patriarchal structure. In the scope of civil matters, the protected legal property, the damages suffered by the victims and the forms of compensation provided for in the current legislation were addressed. In relation to criminal law, the recent legislative insertions that introduced the criminal type in which the pornography of revenge is included, have been focused. It cannot be forgotten, however, that even with all the legislative evolution, the law is still insufficient to completely solve the problem addressed, since it is necessary to combine the law with preventive public policies, measures for the woman to be inserted in effective society on par with men, it is essential that the patriarchal culture be deconstructed, which is only possible through education and other measures that are present in other branches of knowledge.
