In this work, we intend to define the criteria for the execution, acceptance and application of geotextile blankets in the drainage of road works. In Brazil, most roads are made up of unpaved roads. Roads of great economic and social importance, as it serves to transport goods and merchandise. Getting the geosynthetics considerable attention in the use on highways. Thus, the objective is to evaluate the performance of geotextiles as agents based on changes in material properties and exposures and degradation. The use in the rehabilitation of flexible pavements, stands out being used antireflex systems of cracks. Roads, even with low traffic, require maintenance. Geosynthetics as reinforcement allows optimizing cost and increasing pavement life. The easy application, low cost and versatility compared with traditional materials and methodologies, justifies its use. The present work consists in the revision of the geotechnical requirements demanded in roads and in different methods of dimensioning of roads reinforced with geosynthetics, from simpler methods that resort to more complex methods. The methodology used in this work will be the bibliographical research, based on scientific articles and books.
