Resumo: The helicopter is considered an aerodynamically unstable aircraft and by its nature tends to demand greater proficiency from its crew. However, in the last months the search for the single pilot IFR operation has been increasingly common. This research has as general objective to identify the potential dangers and psychological, physiological and operational factors that may interfere in the safety of a single pilot IFR flight in Brazil. Making use of an exploratory research with descriptive bibliographic and documentary procedure through articles, reports, regulations and laws. The methodological approach used was qualitative and quantitative, where the data analysis was performed by means of graphs and tables, analyzed according to the theoretical foundation. It is concluded at the end of the research that there is not enough regulation, training and technology to operate in the single pilot IFR configuration in helicopters safely, not only due to the age of the aircraft operating in Brazil, but also due to the lack of technology that enables the operation, keeping it out of acceptable operational safety.

Entretanto, nos últimos meses tem sido cada vez mais comum a busca pela operação single pilot IFR. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral identificar os perigos potenciais, fatores psicológicos, fisiológicos e operacionais que venham a interferir na segurança de um voo single pilot IFR no Brasil. Foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória com procedimento bibliográfico descritivo e documental por meio de artigos, reportagens, regulamentos e leis. A abordagem metodológica utilizada foi a qualitativa e a quantitativa, sendo que as análises dos dados foram realizadas por meio de gráficos e tabelas, analisados de acordo com a fundamentação teórica.
