Resumo: Photoactivated composite resins are the most widely used restorative materials and are in constant development due to the highly aesthetic requirement demanded by patients. However, the intake of potentially coloring beverages is still a worrying factor with regard to the staining of composite resins. The present study aims to analyze through a literature review the color change of different composite resins immersed in different coloring solutions. In this work, some evaluations were presented, concluding that despite the great technological advances in composite resins, it is not possible to obtain completely satisfactory results regarding their aesthetic properties. The composite resin showed high values of color change when exposed for a period to the drinks presented in this study, especially to coffee and red wine.

Entretanto, a ingestão de bebidas potencialmente corantes ainda é um fator preocupante no que diz respeito ao manchamento de resinas compostas. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar através de uma revisão de literatura a alteração de cor de diferentes resinas compostas imersas em distintas soluções corantes. Neste trabalho, algumas avaliações foram apresentadas, concluindo que apesar dos grandes avanços tecnológicos das resinas compostas, não se obtém resultados completamente satisfatórios em longo prazo, devido as suas propriedades estéticas.
