Efeito da termociclagem sobre a estabilidade de cor de diferentes matizes de resina composta

To evaluate the difference in color stability of three different resins composites by observing the degree of pigmentation in an early period and after thermocycling. Three brands of light cured composite resins were used to develop this study, being used for dentin and enamel. There were made 60 proof-bodies with 15 mm in diameter and 1 mm thick subjected to six groups and held an initial color analysis, using a spectrophotometer, with color changes calculated using the CIE L * a * b *. After this, all bodies of the test piece were coded and stored in insulated containers with artificial saliva at a temperature of 35 ° C ± 2 ° C for 3 months. After 3 months of storage the proof-body were thermocycled with thermal cycling for 3,000 cycles, a thermal cycle corresponding to 5 ° C for 30 seconds + 55 ° C for 30 seconds, simulating the thermal changes that occur within the oral cavity. Then they have been subjected to a new process of color reading. The data were subjected to statistical analysis. The variable issue was the color stability of resin and that established two variation factors: hue of the resin, with two levels (enamel and dentin), and thermal cycling, with a single level. Data were tabulated and submitted to analysis of variance with a significance level of 5%.All tested composites showed color change after thermal cycling, resulting in numbers above the acceptable values limit ΔE (ΔE 3.3). The color change exhibited by all groups was significantly visible. In focus groups to evaluate the color stability of resin to enamel ANOVA test was used, noting that the resins of enamel showed statistically significant differences, the stability of color.
