Resumo: The present work has its subject on the ratio of cost/benefit of hydraulic installations using the PEX, PPR and PVC system in structural masonry buildings. Thus, the research was done starting from the concept of Structural Masonry and Hydraulic Facilities, this way it was done the researching to do counterpoint among the Polyvinyl Chloride - PVC, Cross-linked Polyethylene - PEX, Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPR). Therefore, in order to contrast the cost / benefit and advantages and disadvantages of the abovementioned materials, three case studies were developed, which provided both technical and financial results analysis. The objective of this study was to analyze the cost / benefit ratio of the PEX pipe system in structural masonry, compared to the traditional pipe system (PVC and PPR) in multifamily residential building hydraulic installations.

Desta forma, foi feita a pesquisa acerca do conceito de Alvenaria Estrutural e Instalações Hidráulicas, a partir disso, foram feitos contrapontos entre as características do Policloreto de Vinila – PVC, Polietileno Reticulado – PEX, Polipropileno Copolímero Random (PPR). Para que fosse contraposto o custo/benefício e vantagens e desvantagens dos materiais supracitados, foram desenvolvidos três estudos de casos, os quais proporcionaram a análise de resultados tanto técnica quanto financeira.
