A contribuição do programa residência pedagógica para a formação inicial dos professores de ciências e biologia

Resumo: The Brazilian educational scenario is challenging. In this sense, the development of initial training programs offered to undergraduates for quality improvement in public basic education is important. Thus, the objective of this research was to evaluate the contribution of the Pedagogical Residency Program to the initial formation of future teachers of Science and Biology from the perspective of the participants of this program, developed by the University of Southern Santa Catarina. Respecting the legislation, the project was submitted to Unisul's Research Ethics Committee (CEP) and approved with opinion number 3.641.686. As for data collection, a field research was used in the form of a descriptive case study with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection was done through questionnaires: for resident fellows, for preceptors, for the advisor teacher and for the institutional coordinator at the university. Each quiz contained three open questions and four closed questions. The questionnaires were applied to all twenty-one residents of the Biological Sciences course who are part of the Pedagogical Residency Program at Unisul, with their respective preceptors (five in total), with the advisor teacher representing the Biological Sciences Course and with the institutional coordinator of the University's Pedagogical Residency Program, adding a total of twenty-eight participants. For the analysis of the collected data, the Microsoft Exel program was used, in which all the information was placed for a quantitative analysis of the data, through graphs and tables. For the qualitative analysis, the Microsoft Word program was used, in which all the questionnaires with the answers were placed. The open questions were categorized and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Through this study it can be verified that the actions foreseen in this program are being developed and are contributing to the teacher education. As weak points for the development of the program were the precariousness and lack of materials, both by a resident and preceptors, and the lack of qualified teachers in the various areas of knowledge of the field schools.

Nesse sentido, é importante o desenvolvimento de programas de formação inicial oferecidos aos licenciandos para melhoria da qualidade na educação básica pública. Assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a contribuição do Programa Residência Pedagógica para a formação inicial dos futuros professores de Ciências e Biologia sob a ótica dos participantes desse programa, desenvolvido pela Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina. Respeitando a legislação, o projeto foi submetido ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) da Unisul e aprovado com o parecer número 3.641.686 . Quanto à coleta de dados, utilizou-se uma pesquisa de campo na forma de um estudo de caso, do tipo descritivo, com uma abordagem quali-quantitativa. A coleta de dados foi feita por meio de questionários: para os bolsistas residentes, para os preceptores, para o professor orientador e para o coordenador institucional na universidade. Cada questionário continha três perguntas abertas e quatro perguntas fechadas. Os questionários foram aplicados com todos os vinte e um residentes do curso de Ciências Biológicas que fazem parte do Programa Residência Pedagógica na Unisul, com os seus respectivos preceptores (cinco no total), com o docente orientador que representa o Curso de Ciências Biológicas e com o coordenador institucional do Programa de Residência Pedagógica da Universidade, somando um total de vinte e oito pessoas participantes. Para a análise dos dados coletados, foi utlizado o programa Microsoft Excel, em que foram colocadas todas as informações para uma análise quantitativa dos dados, através de gráficos e tabelas. Para a análise qualitativa, foi utilizado o programa Microsoft Word, no qual foram colocados todos os questionários com as respostas. As perguntas abertas foram categorizadas e analisadas qualitativa e quantitativamente. Através desse estudo pode-se verificar que as ações previstas nesse programa estão sendo desenvolvidas e estão contribuindo para a formação docente.
