This monograph has as its theme the work under slave-like conditions and the analysis of contemporary reflexes. Its objective is to analyze the contemporary reflexes of the work analogous to slavery, its characterization and its occurrences. In order to elucidate this question, a bibliographical research was carried out on doctrines and legislation on work in a condition analogous to that of slave labor. After the surveys, this paper will present a brief survey of the concept of labor contract, its origin, its subjects and its social function. Subsequently, slave labor is conceptualized, presenting a historical panorama, discussing also the applicable constitutional principles. Moving on to the central theme of this monograph is the concept of degrading work, forced labor and work in a condition analogous to slavery. After, showing the characteristics of the work in a condition analogous to slavery. Mention is also made of the supervision against this type of service, and how it is carried out through the Government and the Public Labor Ministry, demonstrating the means of punishment used by these, whatever the term of conduct adjustment, Civil Public Action and the "Dirty List", as well as the possibilities for the eradication of work in a condition analogous to slavery. Lastly, to the study of the illicit provisions provided for in the Criminal Code of frustration of law guaranteed by the Consolidation of Labor Laws and reduction to the condition analogous to that of slave, mentioning also Constitutional Amendment No. 81, which amended article 243 of the Federal Constitution Through all study, it is demonstrated that slave labor was abolished with the Áurea Law in 1888, and that work in slave-like conditions is part of the presente society, but this is mythified, and it is necessary to raise awareness of people so that it can be fought.
