The present theses intend is to analyze the viability of the replacement of conventional mortar coating by projected recycled plaster. The construction sector is constantly perfecting and creating new methods and procedures in the execution of works in order to improve the performance and materials used, especially in environmentally responsible ways. The most commonly used internal coating system is that of conventional mortar, however gypsum has been conquering its space in the construction due to its peculiar characteristics and similarities to cement as a binder. In view of this, a comparative study was carried out in the south of Santa Catarina, where aspects of productivity, quality, time and costs were considered. The monograph was descriptive, with data collection through primary and secondary sources, and the results, analyzed qualitatively based on a bibliographical and quantitative to compare the productivity and cost of both systems. Lastly, the results obtained were: in terms of costs the projected plaster stood out being a cheaper option; in terms of productivity, plaster also became a more effective solution; however, by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages, the conventional coating system stands out due to the culture of the region. Nevertheless, it is concluded that the projected plaster has more benefits than the conventional method.
