Resumo: This research aimed to identify the impact of crew fatigue on operational flight safety. To reach the objectives established for an exploratory research, for such with collectors bibliographic and documentary data with qualitative approach of analysis. Among the main results, the general regimen model of pilots work seems to be a major cause for flight fatigue that interferes with their physical and psychic abilities, compromising safe flight performance. The relationship between flight fatigue and accidents and incidents are evident as statistically as high as that of Fatigue Risk Management for Flight Safety is crucial as the contribution to measures aimed at reducing aviation operational risks. A fatigue is the main cause of human nature for accidents and incidents, so it is a development tool for the creation of an assessed and managed to its impacts to the security of the shipment. Risk management should mainly manage crew fatigue through better working conditions such as greater average work hours and fewer hours of work, not Brazil. The results showed that Brazilian pilots suffer more workload when compared to some other countries, which reaffirms an urgency without development and implementation of a Fatigue Risk Management System in line with the ICAO Flight Safety Guidelines.
