Resumo: This research had as general objective to identify the impacts of the Airport Infrastructure of the São José do Rio Preto Airport for the regional development, analyzing and identifying the economic potential of the region, since this means of transport is very demanded by the high movement of entrepreneurs and investors in the region. It is characterized as an exploratory research, the data were obtained from sources such as bibliographical works, articles, magazines, electronic and informative addresses of DECEA, ANAC and IBGE that were related to the research, in addition to visits at airport. The approach used was qualitative and quantitative. The analysis of the data was done through tables and quantitative comparisons, according to each content included in the development. At the end of the research, it is concluded that the airport infrastructure of the region of São José do Rio Preto is "holding" economic development and not letting it continue to grow in large proportions.

Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa exploratória, os dados foram obtidos de fontes como obras bibliográficas, artigos, revistas, endereços eletrônicos e informativos do Departamento de Controle do Espaço Aéreo (DECEA), Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) e Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) que estiveram relacionados à pesquisa, além de visitas ao aeroporto. A abordagem utilizada foi qualitativa e quantitativa. A análise dos dados foi feita por meio de tabelas e comparações quantitativas, de acordo com cada conteúdo incluído no desenvolvimento.
