Resumo: World War II was the most important milestone in the relations of American policy and the popular culture. Before they got in the war in fact, The United States of America already engaged in the use of mass culture as a message carrier by radio, movie theater, even through comic books narratives. During this monography will be discussed the capacity of the entertainment objects - the stories of Captain America – as mass culture instrument through culture and will analyze the use of this device by the United States during the second world war.

Antes de entrarem de fato na guerra, os Estados Unidos já se engajavam na utilização da cultura de massa como veículo transmissor de suas mensagens, pelo rádio, cinema e até mesmo através das narrativas das histórias em quadrinhos.
