This study aims to understand the growth and development of the Organized Port of Imbituba, through the critical success factors for the growth of port movements in the over the last decade. To this end, critical factors were observed to analyze this port growth such as the Brazilian and Santa Catarina port scenarios on the available management structures, the performance of agribusiness in the Brazilian economy, the rapprochement between the government of Brazil and the United States through the Bolsonaro government and analysis data through questions from employees who were part of the growth of the Port of Imbituba; in addition, internal factors of the Organized Port were identified for this growth in the last decade, mainly due to its structural improvements. In this sense, we used the descriptive method regarding the research objectives, qualitative and quantitative regarding the approach to the problem and bibliographic procedures and interviews for data collection. At the end of the study, it was seen that the new administrative management, together with the internal and external factors of the Organized Port of Imbituba, were crucial for the growth of the movement of goods and, therefore, the development of the Port of Imbituba.
