The aim of this research was to understand the contribution of the SIRIUS Program to the responsible, efficient and safe evolution of Air Navigation and the National Air Traffic Management System. It is characterized by its exploratory nature with documental and bibliographic procedure, whose procedure can be classified as qualitative. The Explanatory Research aims to identify the importance of the SIRIUS Program for the responsible and efficient evolution of air navigation and the Brazilian Airspace Management System. The bibliographic procedure allowed the use of relevant material, based on what has already been published in relation to the topic, so that a new view could be built on it, reaching conclusions that could serve as a basis for the research. The data analysis was based on the thematic content analysis, the observance of graphs, tables, as well as the study of Final Reports of Occurrences issued by the Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA), correlating the contribution of the Program SIRIUS so that such incidents or accidents could have been avoided. At the end of the research, it was concluded that it is extremely important to fully and effectively implement the SIRIUS Program as a way to mitigate the risks of air operations, order and streamline flights, and rationalize the use of Brazilian airspace.
