Information literacy in the universe of information representation: systemic bibliographic review-sbr

This study proposes to investigate in the bibliographic production of Information Science, the insertion of the theme Information Literacy in the universe of Information Representation. The main objective is to identify, in the international and national literature of Information Science, the existence of a relationship between the themes. This is a qualitative and quantitative study, at a descriptive level, which used the following methodological procedures a bibliographic survey and a Systematic Bibliographic Review (SBR). Using the following as data collection instruments the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science-BRAPCI, the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations-BDTD/IBICT and the CAPES Journal Portal, as well as the international databases: Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The search strings used were the keywords: "Information Competence" and "Information Representation" in Portuguese/Brazilian and their translations into Portuguese/Portuguese, English, Spanish and French, combined using the Boolean operator “AND”. The result pointed to a scarcity of studies when combining the terms, because the few results retrieved were not related to the topic researched, thus pointing to the need to develop studies on the theme. In addition, the evidence points to the need to investigate indexing in databases in depth, because the results retrieved do not correspond to the thematic researched, which may also mean a problem in the process of representing and/or retrieving information in databases.
