Approach, Methods and Teacher Work Profile for Teaching Molecular Biology in Basic Education: Teachers' Reports in an Online Continuing Education Course

Resumo: | This work aims to present a view of teachers, of basic education, about the approaches, methods, difficulties and challenges for teach-ing Molecular Biology in Distance Learning Courses. The research was carried out through qualitative analysis of the conceptions, reflections in the speeches produced in thematic forums, during the moments of interaction and collaboration of 36 course participants / teachers, in an online course of continuing education for teachers, offered by the Foundation CECIERJ. It was found that during the moments of inter-action and collaboration, significant discussions and reflections were promoted among the professors participating in the forum, which re-flected in changes in approaches to teaching Biology, as well as changes in attitude and conceptual changes. The reflections of teachers, pro-moted throughout the forums, reveal a positive direction regarding the use of History of Science as an alternative to teaching Biology, as well as its combined use with ICTs. This analysis also allowed the con-struction of a teaching work profile where it was possible to identify four work profiles, with regard to the use of technological resources (Digital or Analog) and the communicative approaches (Expositive or Dialogic), used in the classroom. |

La investigación se realizó a través del análisis cualitativo de las concepciones, reflexiones en los discursos producidos en foros temáticos, durante los momentos de interacción y colaboración de 36 participantes / docentes del curso, en un curso online de formación continua docente, ofrecido por la Fundación. CECIERJ. Se encontró que durante los momentos de interacción y colaboración, se promovieron importantes discusiones y reflexiones entre los profesores participantes en el foro, que se reflejaron en cambios en los enfoques de la enseñanza de la Biología, así como cambios de actitud y cambios conceptuales. Las reflexiones de los docentes, promovidas a lo largo de los foros, revelan una dirección positiva en cuanto al uso de la Historia de la Ciencia como alternativa a la enseñanza de la Biología, así como su uso combinado con las TIC. Este análisis también permitió la construcción de un perfil de trabajo docente donde fue posible identificar cuatro perfiles de trabajo, en lo que respecta al uso de los recursos tecnológicos (Digital o Analógico) y los enfoques comunicativos (Expositivo o Dialógico), utilizados en el aula. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um olhar de docentes da educação básica, acerca das abordagens, dos métodos, das dificuldades e dos desafios para o ensino de Biologia Molecular em cursos de Educação a Distância (EaD). A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de análise qualitativa das concepções, com reflexões dos discursos produzidos em fóruns temáticos, durante os momentos de interação e colaboração de 36 cursistas/docentes, em um curso on-line de formação continuada de professores, oferecido pela Fundação CECIERJ. Constatou-se que durante os momentos de interação e colaboração promoveram-se discussões e reflexões significativas entre os docentes participantes do fórum, as quais refletiram em mudanças nas abordagens para o ensino de Biologia, assim como mudanças de atitude e mudanças conceituais. As reflexões dos docentes, promovidas ao longo dos fóruns, revelam um direcionamento positivo quanto ao uso da História da Ciência como alternativa ao ensino de Biologia, assim como o seu uso combinado às Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs).
