Resumo: This article aims to discuss the possible meanings of old age, based on the mediatization of a social movement: the acceptance and use of white hair by women in Brazil, especially in the dissemination of this content in the virtual space. The starting point is the assumption of the existence of a recurring connection in Brazilian society between ageing and white hairs. The article discusses the new meanings evidenced in the selected publications, problematizing the theme in the following way: how women mediate new cultural/aesthetic patterns regarding theirappearance?
