Resumo: | This paper is part of the research on the Being of Fashion. The ontology of fashion defines itself in relation to a dressed or adorned body; therefore, to a non dressed body or robes without a body. In this ontological relationship with the Being of Fashion, the focus is the wearable artifact as the founder of a social and dressed being. During the research process we found Sartor Resartus, written in 1834 by Thomas Carlyle. This book is an existentialist novel based on the philosophy of clothes. Even if the author ironizes the topic, his aim is not to promote an attack on fashion, but to bring the idea of a society based on clothes. |
