Resumo: This paper investigates the presence of tropical style in the collections of some brands of large representation in the swimwear industry in Brazil. Through the perception of a recurrence of elements that refer to the tropical nature, discussed the link between these collections and prints with the founder myth – a speech of appreciation of nature built from the narratives developed in the colonial period of Brazil.
