Resumo: The importance of planning as a key factor to the success of enterprises is studied and discussed by authors all over the world. The relevance of planning and integration management in building construction enterprises is a strong issue due to the fact that such projects typically are unique, complex, have a long life cycle and involve large amounts of money. The objective of this paper is to develop a list of the components that should integrate the “project plan” in construction projects. It is pursued through the analysis, comparison and application of the concepts associated to the development of a Project Plan presented in the PMBOK (PMI, 2000), as one of the three processes of the knowledge area of integration management. The study was based upon a literature review on the concepts and processes proposed in the PMBOK and the application of a survey to map the actual practices on the matter, of companies with offices in Curitiba, Brazil. The results derived from the study are expected to help builders in providing guidelines on what should be addressed in the development of project plans for their construction enterprises. Keywords: project plan, integration management, planning
