Reverse logistic in the pharmaceutical industry

Resumo: This work aims to analyze how reverse logistics works in the waste disposal of two pharmaceutical networks located in the city of Santana do Livramento, RS. Theoretical background discusses the definition of logistics, reverse logistics, the pharmaceutical industry, the disposal of pharmaceutical residues and their effects on the environment. For this purpose, a multivariate study is used, through a qualitative research, with data collected through structured interviews with Panvel and Preço Mais Popular pharmacists. Data analysis is performed through content analysis and aggregation on conceptual maps. The results indicate that both outsource the collection and treatment of drugs, which occurs in other regions. However, only the Panvel network has a collection point, which influences the attraction of customers, making it a competitive differential.

However, only the Panvel network has a collection point, which influences the attraction of customers, making it a competitive differential.Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar de que forma a logística reversa atua no descarte dos resíduos de duas redes farmacêuticas localizadas na cidade de Santana do Livramento, RS. O embasamento teórico discute a definição de logística, logística reversa, a indústria farmacêutica, o descarte de resíduos farmacêuticos e seus efeitos no meio ambiente. Para tal, emprega-se um estudo de multicasos, por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com dados coletados por entrevistas estruturadas com farmacêuticas das redes Panvel e Preço Mais Popular. A análise dos dados é realizada por meio da análise de conteúdo e a agregação em mapas conceituais. Os resultados apontam que ambas terceirizam o recolhimento e tratamento dos medicamentos, o qual ocorre em outras regiões.
